We are looking for an experienced Compiler of Annual Financial Statements to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience preparing financial statements in accordance with IFRS and IFRS for SMEs, and thrives in a professional, fast-paced environment serving a diverse client base.

You will work closely with audit managers, partners, and clients to ensure that financial statements are prepared accurately, in compliance with applicable standards and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compile annual financial statements in accordance with:
  • IFRS
  • IFRS for SMEs
  • Relevant Companies Act disclosure requirements
• Prepare working paper files to support financial statement disclosures
• Liaise with audit teams to ensure seamless integration of audit adjustments
• Ensure accurate presentation and classification of financial information
• Apply appropriate accounting treatment for complex transactions (e.g., leases, financial instruments, fair value adjustments)
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in accounting frameworks
• Collaborate with clients to obtain required information and resolve queries
• Ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality

Minimum Requirements:

• BCom Accounting degree or equivalent (essential)
• Completed SAICA (advantageous)
• Minimum 23 years experience compiling financial statements
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and IFRS for SMEs
• Proficiency in CaseWare Working Papers (required)
• Strong understanding of Companies Act and disclosure requirements
• Attention to detail and high standards of accuracy
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
