Job Summary
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Fleet Controller to join our operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for expediting and coordinating the movement of goods to ensure timely delivery. While a certificate or diploma could be an advantage, we also welcome candidates with relevant experience and skills.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to schedule and expedite the movement of goods.
- Monitor and track the status of shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate with suppliers and carriers to address any delays or issues in transportation.
- Provide support to logistics controllers and coordinators in managing logistics operations.
- Assist in the preparation of shipping documents and customs clearance procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and logistics activities.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement and warehouse, to facilitate the flow of goods.
- Assist in resolving logistical issues and addressing customer inquiries or concerns.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the operations manager.
Requirements:
- Certificate or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (advantageous).
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of logistics operations and supply chain processes is a plus.
