Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for control wiring on motor control centers (MCCs),PLC DB’s, Home Automation DB’s and DOL Starters .
This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, PLC’s, relay logic, control circuitry, panel and backplate layout and ability to think out of the box to meet industry standards and project requirements.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Be able to read and understand control single line diagrams.
- Be able to wire control panels under pressure with accuracy and neatness.
- Be able to assemble and populate control panels.
- Also be able to meet critical deadlines in this fast past industry.
- Fault Finding on Control panels and be able to rectify the problem.
- Programming of Deep-Sea Controllers will be to your advantage.
Qualifications:
- Education: Passed Matric with a valid driver’s license(Technical High School Matric will be to your advantage)
- Experience: Proven experience (typically 5-10 years) as a control wiremen in the Mining/Water and HVAC industry.
- Technical Skills: Read and Understanding of control Single Line Diagrams. Be able to do a panel layout based on a Control Diagram.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of electrical control systems, wiring standards, and motor control centers.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail wiring of control circuits.
- Communication: Be able to read and write in English and Afrikaans.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot control issues and fault finding on controls.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions:
Environment: Workshop-based with potential site visits as required.
Hours: Standard working hours, with potential for overtime depending on project demands.
