About the Role

Hire Resolve is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Engineer – Civil Engineer to join their team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in civil engineering, as well as excellent project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
Prepare and review project plans, drawings, and specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to project specifications.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and project team members.
Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to address project requirements and resolve any issues that may arise.
Conduct design calculations, simulations, and analysis to optimize project performance and cost-effectiveness.
Participate in the tendering process by preparing technical proposals, cost estimates, and project schedules.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure the successful execution of projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) certification.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering design and project management.
Strong technical proficiency in civil engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and STAAD.Pro.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Proven track record of successfully completing civil engineering projects on time and within budget.
Knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project challenges.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
