About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Service Technician to join our team in Cape Town, South Africa. The ideal candidate will have experience working on complex industrial refrigeration systems and electrical/mechanical systems related to refrigeration. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, modification, installations, inspection, and overhaul work as agreed with customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Fault resolution and maintenance of industrial refrigeration systems to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly
- Troubleshooting and repairing faults found on cooling and freezing installations
- Attending to service and maintenance activities on large-scale industrial cooling and freezing refrigeration systems
- Working on diverse service projects and responding to breakdowns across various sectors, including agro, fish, and food processing
Requirements
- Studies completed in Refrigeration or similar technician education
- Experience working on complex industrial refrigeration systems and industrial compressors
- Knowledge and experience working on electrical/mechanical systems related to refrigeration
- Previous experience in a technical role, such as breakdown service technician or maintenance technician in refrigeration field
Qualifications
- NQF Level 4โ5 education or equivalent
