Our client in Investments & Financial Service is looking for a Risk Officer in the financial services sector identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could impact the organizations financial health and regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

Risk Assessment and Regulatory Compliance

Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards, including the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) and the Prudential Authority (PA) guidelines.

Reporting – Prepare and present risk reports to senior management and the board, highlighting key risks, trends, and mitigation strategies.

Risk Mitigation collaborate with various departments to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans.

Monitoring and Review

Continuously monitor the risk environment and review the effectiveness of risk management processes and controls.

Training and Awareness

Conduct training sessions and workshops to promote risk awareness and understanding across the organization.

Crisis Management – Assist in the development and implementation of crisis management and business continuity plans.

Min Requirements

Bachelors degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

A Masters degree or professional certification (e.g., FRM, PRM, CFA) is preferred.

Minimum of 5 years plus years of experience in risk management within the financial services sector, with a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks in South Africa.
