Hire Resolve is excited to announce an opportunity for a skilled Solar Service Technician to join our client`s team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar energy systems.

As a Service Technician in their Maintenance Department, you play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of our clients` solar thermal systems, HVAC systems, and related equipment. Your primary responsibility is to respond to service requests, diagnose issues, and execute maintenance tasks with a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to service requests, accurately diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
• Conduct thorough on-site inspections and maintenance of solar thermal and HVAC systems.
• Perform repairs, replacements, and system upgrades following best practices.
• Adhere to preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment longevity.
• Document all maintenance activities, including system condition, repairs performed, and materials used.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients on system operations and maintenance.
• Collaborate with other departments for efficient service delivery.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company quality standards.
• Maintain service vehicle, tools, and equipment, ensuring they are in excellent working order.
• Assist with installation projects as needed.

• National Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Technical certification in solar thermal systems or HVAC systems is an advantage.
• Proven experience as a Service Technician in solar thermal or HVAC maintenance.
• Valid drivers license.
• Strong technical knowledge of solar thermal systems, HVAC technologies, and related equipment.
• Ability to diagnose complex issues and solve problems quickly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and colleagues.
• Familiarity with hydraulic layouts, plumbing, and electrical systems used in hot water generation and space heating/cooling.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to work independently and in a team
