About the Role

Hire Resolve, a leading retail industry giant, is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and developing tax regulations and policies, managing tax-related risks, and ensuring compliance with all tax requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Create and develop tax regulations and policies for the Organization.
Revise and modify policies to reflect tax revisions.
Update all pertinent tax and financial systems (like SAP).
Assess any potential tax-related risks and exposure that could have an impact on the Group and inform all pertinent stakeholders.
Handle all outside parties’ interests in all Group-related tax-related matters.
Control all tax reporting for the Group.
Ensure that audit queries are handled and resolved effectively.
Identify tax risks and problems and suggest fixes.

Requirements

Qualified CA(SA)
A Post Graduate Qualification in Tax
Minimum 5 Years experience in leading a Tax team.
Proven experience in advisory and compliance across direct tax, indirect tax, international tax, and transfer pricing.
Strong Analytical Skills and a High Attention to detail.
Excellent Interpersonal & Communication Skills.

Leadership

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the hiring, retention, and professional development of direct reports’ talent, as well as ensuring that shared service performance management guidelines are followed. They must provide ongoing performance feedback and development opportunities to their team members.

Minimum Requirements
