About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled Technical Sales Business Development professional to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our sales and business development department, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the technical industry, building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, and driving business growth through strategic planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the technical industry
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Understand client needs and provide appropriate technical solutions
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve business growth targets
- Act as a point of contact for customers, responding to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings
- Maintain relationships with new and existing clients
- Learn and demonstrate knowledge of products and services, including water filtration, desalination, and wastewater treatment
- Prepare and deliver proposals and presentations to clients using prescribed templates and procedures
- Work closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions
- Ensure communications and documentation comply with the company’s ISO and Business Development procedures
Requirements
- 3 – 5 years of proven experience in a technical business development/sales role, preferably within the water treatment or related industry
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple project enquiries simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and potentially internationally
- Participation in trade shows
Qualifications
Education: Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
