Centurion: AI and Analytics Engineer – Centurion – R700k to R900k per annum posted by E-Merge

We’re looking for a sharp, business-savvy AI and Analytics Engineer to help build intelligent, scalable systems that turn data into action. You’ll work at the intersection of advanced analytics, machine learning, and engineering-enabling better, faster, and future-focused decisions across the business.

Responsibilities:

• Build and scale AI/ML models and analytics products that deliver real business impact
• Build analytics products that provide competitive advantages, both locally and globally, in collaboration with market and global teams.
• Ensure robust data handling for structured and unstructured datasets using advanced SQL and modern data tools.
• Work with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and stream processing systems to enable real-time analytics.
• Drive adoption of assisted and predictive decision-making tools powered by AI and cognitive computing.
• Develop data pipelines and architecture to support advanced analytics
• Deliver predictive insights using structured and unstructured data
• Integrate solutions into BI tools and enterprise platforms (Power BI, Azure, etc.)
• Champion automation, data access, and self-service analytics

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years in data science, analytics, or engineering roles
• Strong SQL + experience in Python/R/SAS and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)
• Proven track record in delivering end-to-end data projects
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and modern data stacks
• Solid business acumen and communication skills
• Desirable Certifications:
• AI/ML and Statistical Modeling certifications
• Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Project Management (Agile/Scrum/Prince2)
• BI and data visualization certifications
