About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our Finance team on a 4-month contract. As a Centurion, you will be supporting the day-to-day operations of our finance department, capturing and processing transactions, and ensuring accuracy in all financial data.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the Finance team with daily tasks such as data capturing, entering transactions, and confirming the accuracy of entered information
General financial administration including filing, compliance, and control management
Processing general ledger entries, control, and administration
Assisting with accounts payable activities such as creditors’ invoices, payments, recons, queries, and age analysis
Payment processing and bank account capturing and reconciliations
Petty cash capturing and reconciliations
Maintaining fixed asset registers and capital accounting
Preparing balance sheet schedules and reconciliations

Requirements

Relevant bookkeeping/financial certificate or diploma
6 Months’ experience in bookkeeping or accounting
Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, and Google documents
Experience in Xero or similar accounting system
Experience in working with VAT, Tax, and Payroll
Deadline-oriented with attention to detail
Good communication skills and the ability to communicate well in English and Afrikaans

Qualifications

Completed bookkeeping/financial certification
Relevant experience in bookkeeping or accounting
