New Job opportunity for skilled Bookkeeper on a month-to-month contract for Engineering firm.

Purpose of role:
The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting the smooth running of the company’s accounting and financial processes.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Record day-to-day financial transactions in accounting software (Xero).
• Maintain and reconcile general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Process invoices, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations.
• Maintain organized filing of financial records (digital and hard copy).

 
 Requirements:

• Diploma/degree or certificates in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven 2 years or more experience as a bookkeeper
• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero)
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and financial regulations.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
