You will be responsible for the commissioning of HV/MV substations, ensuring that they are tested, configured, and safely brought online. You will collaborate with engineering, construction, and utility teams to deliver technically sound and compliant electrical infrastructure.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Execute commissioning plans for substations (11kV to 132kV+)
• Perform functional testing of protection relays, SCADA systems, and automation controls
• Conduct loop checks, CT/VT ratio and polarity tests, breaker timing, and insulation resistance tests
• Interpret single-line diagrams, protection schemes, and interface drawings
• Produce commissioning reports and documentation as per project and client standards
• Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to ensure safe energization
• Ensure that all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards

 
Requirements:

• Electrical Engineering Degree or National Diploma (Heavy Current)
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in substation commissioning (HV/MV)
• Strong knowledge of protection relays (e.g., SEL, ABB, Siemens, and Schneider)
• Hands-on experience with SCADA systems and communication protocols (IEC 61850, DNP3, and Modbus)
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel/site-based work
• Ability to work under pressure and independently
