Centurion: Electrical Engineer: Electrical Protection

Key Responsibilities: Perform power system studies using ETAP (load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, and stability where applicable) Design and review HV/MV protection schemes for substations, transmission and distribution systems Develop protection relay settings , philosophies, and coordination studies Prepare and review single-line diagrams, protection schematics, and technical specifications Support factory acceptance testing (FAT), site testing, commissioning, and fault investigations Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, and utility standards Interface with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle Minimum Requirements: Bachelors Degree (BEng / BSc / BTech) in Electrical Engineering Experience in electrical protection and high-voltage systems Proven hands-on experience with ETAP (essential) Strong knowledge of HV/MV protection relays , control systems, and substations Experience with fault level calculations, relay coordination, and protection philosophy development Proficiency in engineering software such as ETAP, AutoCAD, and DIgSILENT (advantageous) Excellent technical report writing and communication skills
