About the Role
Our client in the Manufacturing Industry is seeking a Capacity Development Advisor to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for implementing capacity development activities with community-based organizations across South Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct organizational capacity assessments with implementing partners as part of institutional strengthening process.
- Conduct site visits in support of development of the partner organizations.
- Co-develop ISPs (Institutional Strengthening Plans) for each partner and ensure implementation of critical identified activities.
- Provide ongoing support to each partner on governance & leadership, financial management, internal controls, and human resource management.
- Support development of training material, trainings, and other necessary material for CD interventions.
- Coordinate with appropriate stakeholders in all aspects of activities planning, monitoring, and implementation related to capacity development.
- Actively participate in Pact’s capacity development Community of Practice.
Requirements
- A relevant degree in organizational development, business, or public management, or a related area.
- Experience in working for US government-funded projects with significant CD elements.
- Proficiency with activities, theories, methods, and technology in the capacity development field.
- Excellent facilitation and training skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Ability to travel.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- South African citizen or permanent resident strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of one additional local language.
