Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer with AutoCAD and piping design experience to join our expert team. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing mechanical systems and piping layouts for complex chemical and explosives plants. If you’re passionate about precision engineering and thrive in fast-paced, regulated environments—this opportunity is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review mechanical layouts, piping designs, and isometric drawings for plant facilities.
- Create and maintain P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, and detailed fabrication drawings.
- Conduct pipe stress analysis, perform mechanical calculations, and select appropriate materials.
- Ensure compliance with engineering codes (ASME, ANSI, ISO) and company standards.
- Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams (process, electrical, civil) during design and execution.
- Support procurement with BoMs, technical specs, and supplier assessments.
- Participate in HAZOP, safety assessments, and plant risk evaluations.
- Provide on-site support during installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Conduct site inspections, verify constructability, and troubleshoot field-related challenges.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (BEng/BSc/BTech) – Essential
- 3–6 years experience in mechanical and piping design for industrial or chemical plants
- Advanced AutoCAD proficiency (2D & 3D) – Essential
- Familiarity with Plant 3D, CADWorx, or SolidWorks – Advantageous
- Strong knowledge of P&IDs, BoMs, MTOs, and material specs
- Understanding of piping codes, pressure vessels, and materials for hazardous environments
- Strong grasp of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and systems integration
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel when needed
