Hospitality and Outdoor New Vacancy Sous Chef Restaurant Centurion Requirements Matric 3-5 years experience in a busy, professional kitchen Previous experience as a Senior Comis or Junior Sous Chef preferred Strong cooking skills and knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards Ability to lead and train kitchen staff Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays Ability to work under pressure High attention to detail Good time management and organizational skills Food portfolio Responsibilities Assist Head Chef with daily kitchen operations Supervise kitchen service to ensure speed, quality and consistency Ensure all dishes prepared to recipe and presentation standards Manage prep lists and service planning Step into Head Chef role when required Assist with staff training, development and discipline Lead by example during busy service periods and ensure clear communication between kitchen sections Enforce health, safety and hygiene standards (HACCP) Ensure proper food storage, stock rotation and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment Assist with ordering, stock control and supplier deliveries Minimize wastage and control food costs Conduct stock counts when required Package on offer Salary R 15 000 R 23 000 pm DOE Starting date: ASAP
