Job Summary
Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled Financial Administrator on behalf of a leading client in the plastic resin manufacturing industry. This client specializes in the production and distribution of high-quality resins used across various sectors, supporting both domestic and international markets. The role is designed for a detail-oriented financial professional with a strong background in manufacturing finance and familiarity with cost management, inventory accounting, and compliance with South African financial regulations. Responsibilities
- Process, reconcile, and record accounts payable and receivable transactions with accuracy in line with industry standards.
- Oversee inventory accounting, track raw material costs, and coordinate with production teams to ensure accurate cost allocation.
- Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts by incorporating cost projections for manufacturing, labor, and inventory.
- Conduct daily bank reconciliations, monitor cash flow, and prepare monthly cash flow statements.
- Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and other regulatory reports, maintaining compliance with SARS requirements.
- Generate monthly financial reports, including income statements and cash flow statements tailored to manufacturing.
- Analyze cost structures, track operational efficiency, and provide recommendations to control production costs.
- Prepare audit documentation and work with auditors to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with CIMA or similar certification as a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in a financial role, ideally in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory control, and analysis of manufacturing costs.
- Proficiency in South African tax regulations, particularly VAT and PAYE.
- Skilled in accounting software (such as Sage or Pastel) and Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
- Strong analytical and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
