Job Description
Hire Resolve is seeking a highly skilled Finance Controller for our esteemed client, a listed mining company. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Additionally, they will oversee accounts payable and receivable, coordinate audits, and enhance financial policies and internal controls.

Responsibilities
- Compile, analyze, and verify management accounts and reporting.
- Process and coordinate the Group Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
- Manage and coordinate the revenue cycle.
- Process and coordinate the procurement of raw materials cycle.
- Compile weekly and monthly cash flow and forecasting reports.
- Prepare annual budgets.
- Improve and maintain all finance policies, processes, procedures, and internal controls.
- Enhance and maintain systems supporting the financial function and business units.
- Coordinate internal audit reviews, monitor findings, and ensure resolution.
- Ensure corporate governance and statutory compliance.
- Ensure compliance with all Mine Health and Safety Act regulations.
Requirements
- Education: B.Com Honours in Accounting or Financial Management (CA(SA) preferable).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a Mining or Manufacturing environment.
- Commercial & Legal Knowledge: At least 5 years of experience in applying commercial and legal principles in the execution of contracts.
- Software Proficiency: Knowledge of financial and accounting software (Sage advantageous).
- Technical Knowledge: Practical understanding of IFRS, VAT, and the Income Tax Act.
- Computer Skills: High competence in MS Office (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Key Competencies: Results-oriented, problem-solving, analytical thinking, integrity, attention to detail, and excellent report writing and communication skills.
