About the Role The Advanced Analytics function consists of focused business intelligence and predictive analytics teams, supported by a production analytics capability that drives automation, standardisation and insight excellence across the organisation. As Head of Advanced Data Science, you will: Lead the design and execution of strategic data science initiatives aligned to business objectives Prototype and deploy predictive and prescriptive models using rapid iteration methodologies Advance machine learning capabilities and narrow AI solutions Champion explainable AI and communicate complex analytical concepts clearly to executive stakeholders and clients Partner with cross-functional teams including Data, Software Development, BI, Product, Sales and IT Mentor and develop a high-performing data science team Foster a culture of ownership, innovation and continuous learning This is more than a leadership role, it is an opportunity to pioneer next-generation AI-powered insight solutions. What Youll Achieve Deliver measurable strategic impact through advanced analytics Elevate machine learning capabilities across the organisation Drive innovation in predictive and prescriptive analytics Contribute directly to enterprise AI and analytics strategy Build and grow a high-performing advanced data science team Qualifications BCom/BSc (Honours), MCom/MSc or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics or Computer Science Proven machine learning model-building experience Experience 10 years relevant analytical experience Minimum 3 years in ML/AI Technical Expertise Advanced data analysis and insight development Strong statistical and machine learning capabilities Proficiency in Python, R and SQL Experience with TensorFlow, Hugging Face, FastAPI, Flask or Django advantageous Experience with Docker and predictive model deployment in Microsoft Azure or similar environments Familiarity with virtualised applications and programming environments Agile methodology experience Strong documentation and report-writing capability Key Competencies Strategic thinking and strong leadership capability Growth mindset and passion for innovation Clear, confident stakeholder communication Client-centric problem-solving approach Ethical and responsible AI mindset Ability to work both independently and collaboratively If you are a visionary data science leader ready to shape the future of AI-driven insight solutions, we would love to hear from you. 📍 Centurion | Hybrid Working
