Job Summary
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones for all national technical initiatives.
- Align project objectives with organizational strategy and stakeholder requirements.
- Identify project dependencies, risks, and mitigation measures.
Project Execution & Delivery
- Oversee the technical execution of projects across all regions.
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams including engineering, IT, and operations.
- Ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
Technical Oversight
- Provide technical guidance and decision-making support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure adherence to engineering standards, codes, and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular technical reviews, quality checks, and audits.
Stakeholder & Communication Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for all national-level technical project matters.
- Maintain clear, timely communication between internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver progress reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.
Risk, Compliance & Governance
- Identify potential risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with national regulations, health and safety policies, and industry best practices.
- Maintain accurate project documentation for governance and audit purposes.
Budget & Resource Management
- Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures against forecasts.
- Allocate resources effectively across regional teams.
- Approve procurement and vendor contracts in line with project needs.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- On-time project delivery percentage.
- Budget adherence rate.
- Technical quality and compliance score.
- Stakeholder satisfaction rating.
- Number of critical risks successfully mitigated.
Preferred qualifications/attributes/skills:
- Grade 12 certificate.
- Tertiary qualification preferable.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
- Excellent technical knowledge in relevant engineering/IT domains.
- Advanced project management expertise (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Clear criminal record
