Job Summary
Location: Gauteng, South Africa
Overview:
Hire Resolve`s Client are a leading mining company based in Gauteng, South Africa. Our Client is currently seeking a qualified Purchasing Manager to join their team and oversee all procurement activities related to our mining operations.
Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans that align with the company`s overall goals and objectives
– Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best terms and pricing for all mining-related purchases
– Manage the procurement process from start to finish, including issuing requests for proposals, evaluating bids, and selecting vendors
– Monitor and track supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery and quality products/services
– Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as operations and finance, to ensure alignment on purchasing decisions
– Stay current on market trends, products, and pricing in the mining industry to make informed purchasing decisions
– Manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise
– Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve the company`s profitability
– Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities and contracts
Requirements:
– Grade 12
– Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Commerce
– 4 years of experience in sourcing and purchasing gained in Mining
– 2 years in strategic sourcing experience
– Previous experience in B-BBEE Reporting and Mining Charter
– Previous SAP experience
