Qualifications and Experience: Tertiary qualifications in IT or a related discipline A minimum of 10 years of experience in the management and administration of enterprise level SQL server databases Experience in administrating databases on SQL Server and Microsoft SQL Azure including Always-On availability groups and failover clustering, SQL replication, backups and encryption Strong understanding of PowerShell & SQL scripting, stored procedures, triggers etc. Advanced skills in associated database programming languages such as T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS, ETL processes, data manipulation and SQL optimisation Good problem solver, focused and dedicated developer with ability to work on your own as well as with a team Effectively communicate with key stakeholders and excellent troubleshooting skills Monitor global databases operational functions and statistics, report issues and potential impacts to the business and provide solutions to optimise performance. Also, assist the project and support team with investigations, help resolve technical matters and provide technical assistance for new projects and implementations.
