About the Role
The Coega Quality Control Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality control in our production facility. This role involves implementing and maintaining quality control procedures, collaborating with production staff to resolve issues, and conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that all incoming recipes, raw material, in process, final product specifications and packaging materials specifications are adhered to and met
- Maintain Corrective and Preventive Procedures (CCPs), Operational Procedures Requirements (OPRPs), and Production Requirements Procedures (PRPs)
- Perform trimming, blending, ageing, filling, flavoring, freezing, canning, blanching, pasteurizing, coding, and final product packaging material quality requirements
- Train and assess junior QC staff, including Line Inspectors, QC lab inspectors, and QC teachers to meet predetermined requirements
- Report non-conformances to QC Manager and Production Manager regarding all product and equipment
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in quality control or food science within the food, dairy, or citrus industry
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, and GMP principles
- Proficient in MS Office
- Valid driver’s license and own transport
- Minimum Grade 12 qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field
