Key Responsibilities
- Acquire new business across Air and Sea Freight
- Identify, pursue, and close profitable logistics opportunities
- Cost freight movements and prepare accurate service estimates
- Present tailored logistics solutions aligned to client needs
- Facilitate and manage client credit applications
- Implement and onboard new clients effectively
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients
- Record and manage client information via CRM systems
- Report accurately on sales activities and pipeline performance
- Maintain disciplined call ratios and structured sales activity
- Ensure compliance with quality management and internal processes
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Essential)
- Sales & Marketing qualification (NQF Level 5 – Advantageous)
- 5+ years sales experience in a service industry
- Minimum 3 consecutive years in Clearing & Forwarding
- Strong working knowledge of:
- International Trade principles
- Tariff calculations and pricing structures
- INCOTERMS
- Carrier and depot conditions of trade
- CRM systems and MS Office
- Proven experience in new business acquisition
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing ability
