About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Clamping Technician to join our team in Durban. As a Clamping Technician, you will be responsible for performing clamping and de-clamping duties for clients at numerous depots daily.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out the clamping and unclamping instructions effectively and according to the standard operating procedures.
Ensure that clamping units are tested with Control Room and confirm that the unit is active, updated, and that the battery level is full.
Ensure that the correct units are attached according to the pre-advice reports.
Keep management informed and updated on all relevant issues and incidents.
Ensure all relevant data pertaining to the clamping and unclamping of units are sent to the supervisor/Control Room promptly to ensure that they are tracked and monitored effectively.
Use company vehicles and other company equipment responsibly and follow the policies of the company in this regard.
Report any problems pertaining to the equipment immediately to the clamping supervisor.
Answer all telephone calls in a polite, friendly, and professional manner.

Requirements

Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF level 4).
Valid Code 8 drivers license with minimum two years driving experience.
PSiRA (Grade C).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Experience in report writing.
Two (2) years proven working experience in a safety/security/high value cargo environment will be beneficial.
Knowledge and experience in tracking units will be beneficial.
Computer literacy is essential.
