Job Purpose

To safely and efficiently operate a Code 14 truck with a drawbar trailer, ensuring timely and accurate delivery/collection of goods while maintaining compliance with road safety legislation, company policies, and customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Code 14 truck with drawbar trailer for long-distance and/or local deliveries.
• Perform vehicle inspections (pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip).
• Ensure correct coupling and uncoupling of the drawbar trailer.
• Secure loads in accordance with company and legal standards.
• Adhere strictly to road traffic regulations and company safety rules.
• Deliver and collect goods as per delivery schedule and instructions.
• Complete all relevant documentation accurately (PODs, trip sheets, logbooks).

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Code 14 (EC) Driver’s Licence.
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) – Goods.
• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience driving Code 14 vehicles.
