About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Customer Relationship Manager to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fastener sales, excellent communication skills, and a keen understanding of customer forecasting and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive weekly customer invoicing against budgets
- Provide exceptional customer liaison services for all queries, disputes, and quality matters
- Analyze customer usage patterns and industry trends to advise on production consumption forecasts
- Identify new customer opportunities and develop relationships with key individuals at these customers
- Develop and maintain a relationship with existing customers, including personal details of the customer’s personnel
- Ensure that customer quality requirements are properly documented and implemented permanent corrective action to prevent repeat issues
- Manage all customer sales orders, credit notes requests, and ensure accurate capture and processing
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) with mathematics
- Automotive part manufacturing experience
- Understanding of fasteners and metallurgy
- Strong experience in fastener sales function management of key accounts
- Qualification in engineering and sales is highly preferred
- Knowledge on customer forecasting and forecasting tools like Turbocash or Pastel and/or SAP
Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12) with mathematics
