Job Summary
- Be an integral member of the advisory team and provide financial planning and investment advice to clients ranging in age and wealth
- Take primary responsibility for all aspects of a client relationship, working closely to fully understand the financial situation and requirements
- Monitor market performance to develop and deliver sound investment advice and strategies
- Execute accurate reporting that enables sound analysis and financial recommendations
- Comply with national and local financial regulations by studying existing and proposed legislation
- Continue professional development with classes, workshops, webinars, publications, networks, and associations in order to remain up to date with the fundamentals of financial planning, risk management, and investment management
Duties & Responsibilities
- Providing suitable advice to best fit the needs and requirements of professionals
- Preparing and presenting proposals to existing and potential clients using state-of-the-art financial planning tools
- Meeting clients to understand their financial objectives
- Explaining complex information relating to Financial Advisory in a clear and effortless way
- Managing, maintaining and building new and existing client relationships
- Growing a client book within the first 24 months and consistently thereafter
- Adhering to compliance, operational procedures and practice management standards
- Staying abreast of product information, performance and industry changes
- Building a professional network and sustainable business within the professional market
- Interact with clients to offer guidance, point out products, and assist them in making investment decisions
- Maintain in-depth product knowledge to provide clients with the best, most accurate information possible
- Utilize persuasion techniques when necessary to close sales
- Collaborate with other tax, legal, and insurance professionals to develop a client’s entire financial roadmap and ensure progress in achieving goals
- Review client accounts regularly to determine if adjustments are needed
- Interpret data and prepare income projections, financial summaries, and investment performance reports, and update client portfolios accordingly.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry in a Sales role within the risk and investment spaces
- 2 years` Financial Planning experience
- Knowledge and understanding of the dynamics of the professional client market
- Experience and track record in high-performance sales environments
- Knowledge of best practice in Financial Planning and Financial Advisory Services
- Knowledge and understanding of financial planning through meaningful client engagements
- Experience prospecting for clients, actively seek out new opportunities through referrals, networking, and social media
- Look after and grow a portfolio of clients
- Participate in weekly team meetings that provide feedback and continued education opportunities
- Current certificate of qualifications, which include RE 1 and RE 5
- Minimum two years of professional experience
- Knowledge of the insurance, and mutual fund industries
- Personal integrity and an ability to maintain the confidentiality of company and client information
