Durban: Press Shop Supervisor posted by Mecad Systems

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise press operators and coordinate daily press shop activities.
• Oversee metal pressing operations ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
• Set up and adjust tools for metal pressing machinery.
• Plan production schedules to meet delivery deadlines and optimize workflow.
• Capture and maintain accurate production data and reports.
• Provide training, guidance, and support to press operators.
• Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams to resolve technical issues.
• Work night shifts occasionally as required to support production demands.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience in metal pressing and tool setting.
• Strong understanding of production planning and data capturing techniques.
• Previous experience supervising or leading press operators.
• Ability to work independently and manage a team effectively.
• Willingness to work night shifts occasionally.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
