Key Requirements:

• BEng | BSc | BTech Civil | Structural Engineering
• Advanced Knowledge of AutoCAD | Civil 3D
• Pr Eng | Pr Tech will be advantageous
• 10 Years Experience in Project Supervision on Civil & Building Projects

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaising with Clients as well as preparing contractual documents in conjunction with the client
• Knowledge of contract administration and coordination
• Experience in construction monitoring and civil engineering works
• Ability to review contractor drawings and ensure conformity with design requirements
• Issue site instructions to the contractor on behalf of the client
• Submit payment certificates to contractors

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer specializing in Roads to join a leading engineering consultancy in Durban.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the construction and maintenance of road projects
• Coordinate project activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Supervise construction teams and ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations
• Manage project risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures
• Review and approve construction plans and documentation
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
• Prepare project reports and communicate progress to key stakeholders
• Monitor project budget and control costs
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards on construction sites

Requirements: 

• B.Sc Eng / B.Eng / B.Tech Eng qualification in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA (Non-negotiable)
• Minimum 20 years relevant roads and earthworks experience on major road projects.
• SANRAL roads experience
• Strong knowledge of road construction techniques, materials, and specifications
• Experience in project management and contract administration
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools
• Valid driver’s license
