Job Summary

Your responsibilities will include: Maintain regional retail performance metrics. Completes regional operational requirements by scheduling and prioritising tasks and setting objectives. Actively oversee and manage inventories, taking in consideration seasonal and operational requirements. Actively be involved in branch stocktakes and investigate discrepancies together with management. Ensure all company policy and procedure are always adhered to. Constant analyses and communication of pricing, merchandising, competitor activity, promotions, and customer behaviour. Ensure all branches maintain a safe environment by complying with all legal requirements. Maintains professional, technical and industry knowledge by attending educational workshops and training programmes, reviewing retail related publications, establishing personal networks and constantly becoming aware of retail market opportunities and threats. Must contribute and work with the team, go the extra mile, be willing to work long hours and be hands on. Must be able to actively get involved in all regional and branch activities, working tirelessly to ensure successful completion of any project. Candidate must be able to work independently as well as in a team. Qualifications and attributes: Matric with a business-related tertiary qualification (BCom. Retail buying or Business management). Minimum 5-year retail management experience. Highly computer skilled in ERP systems as well as Excel, Word, and Power point. Management, leadership, and supervisory skills, combined with strong planning and organisational skills and the ability to train and motivate staff. Product knowledge and merchandising skills compulsory. Drivers licence and own vehicle is compulsory. Able to travel to branches when required. Project management experience and skills, with experience in store planning and layout design. Skills required: Must have the ability to multitask and project manage tasks, with the ability to work with various service providers under extreme pressure and timelines. Ability to read, write and present financial statements, reports, budgets, feasibility studies and proposals Must be organized, able to priorities. Ability to manage conflict and diversity and lead staff at all times. Applicant must be dedicated, responsible, adaptable to change and work within the company culture of excellence through respect and hard/smart work ethics. Must be a quick learner. Ability to be driven and self-taught with on-the-job training and online manuals and catalogues.
