About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stores Assistant to join our team at Trading Places Recruitment (Pty) Ltd in Durban. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. As a Stores Assistant, you will be responsible for managing inventory, processing orders, and ensuring that all stores are neat and tidy.
Key Responsibilities
- Pull picking reports from Syspro to assist with preparation for order delivery
- Manage issuing of material to production according to production plan
- Manage return of material not used by production and verifying physical to returned on job cards
- Assist with verifying deliveries received from suppliers against supplier delivery notes, and giving those to finance timeously for processing
- Assisting with preparation of cyclical, monthly and annual stock takes
- Follow up on stock take variances and supplying reasons therefore
- Making sure the stores are always neat and tidy
- Storing product and materials in a manner that ensures they are preserved and protected
- Identify and report obsolete stock
- Assist with ensuring consumable stores stock is ordered on time and delivered by the supplier when requested. Follow up with suppliers when not
Requirements
- Matric math’s HG pass
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in stores (not industry specific)
- Microsoft Excel & Work proficiency
- Must have his own transport
- Overtime & standby will be required
- Rapid Global Risk software proficiency
- Syspro experience
- Rite scan scanning experience
