About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Citrus Agronomist to join our team at Farm Manager SA. The successful candidate will have a strong background in agriculture, horticulture, or agronomy, with a proven track record of managing citrus farms. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, has a hands-on approach, and is passionate about organic citrus production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor crop health and execute timely interventions
  • Implement and track fertilization, irrigation, and spraying programs
  • Conduct pruning and other key tree care operations
  • Plan and coordinate harvest activities
  • Ensure high standards of farm hygiene, safety, and sustainability
  • Responsible for the farms to be compliant with Globalgap/GRASP/LEAF
  • Deliver top-tier farm performance, setting an inspiring example for smallholders
  • Support development of training materials and programs
  • Train extension teams and smallholder farmers
  • Assist in various citrus development projects across Southern Vietnam
  • Monitor and report upon P&L of the training farms and the RoI of various technologies and farming methods which are tested
  • Report progress, challenges, and insights directly to the Fruit Production Manager

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in agriculture, horticulture, agronomy, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of practical experience on a citrus farm
  • Highly motivated, energetic, and eager to learn
  • Strong ability to supervise local farm teams
  • Hardworking, hands-on approach
  • Experience with organic citrus production (a “nice to have”)
  • Fluent in English
