About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Citrus Agronomist to join our team at Farm Manager SA, where you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing citrus production activities on our pomelo training farms.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor crop health and execute timely interventions
- Implement and track fertilization, irrigation, and spraying programs
- Conduct pruning and other key tree care operations
- Plan and coordinate harvest activities
- Ensure high standards of farm hygiene, safety, and sustainability
- Responsible for the farms to be compliant with Globalgap/GRASP/LEAF
- Deliver top-tier farm performance, setting an inspiring example for smallholders
- Support development of training materials and programs
- Train extension teams and smallholder farmers
- Assist in various citrus development projects across Southern Vietnam
- Monitor and report upon P&L of the training farms and the RoI of various technologies and farming methods which are tested
- Report progress, challenges, and insights directly to the Fruit Production Manager
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in agriculture, horticulture, agronomy, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of practical experience on a citrus farm
- Highly motivated, energetic, and eager to learn
- Strong ability to supervise local farm teams
- Hardworking, hands-on approach
- Experience with organic citrus production (a “nice to have”)
- Fluent in English
