About the Role

A reputable Engineering Consulting Firm is looking for an innovative and dynamic Structural Technologist to join their team in Durban. They require a highly skilled individual with a strong background in structural engineering, digital engineering drive, and 3D analysis and design capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with structural designs
  • Prepare construction drawings
  • Prepare reinforcement layouts and schedules
  • Liaise with consultants and colleagues
  • Site inspections
  • Project Initiation which shall include the preparation of structural concept designs, details, high-level drawings and models
  • Conduct structural audits or assessments and provide detailed reporting and remedial recommendations
  • Specialized structural diagnostic investigations and reporting

Requirements

  • BTech in Civil Engineering
  • Registered with ECSA as a Technologist
  • 5 years of experience minimum in the field
  • Must have a digital engineering drive and a 3D Analysis and design capability
  • Commercial or Industrial Structural analysis and design experience
  • Experience in Computer-aided analysis, draughting and design software i.e. Prokon, Etabs, Safe, Autocad, Revit etc.

Qualifications

  • Completed BTech degree in Civil Engineering
