About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our projects in Pretoria, responsible for ensuring timely and successful delivery of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project planning and execution, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Define project scope, objectives, schedules, and deliverables
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and resources
- Lead day-to-day project execution and track performance
- Cost & Commercial Management: Prepare and manage budgets and cost forecasts, control project costs and protect profit margins
- Oversee invoicing, cash flow, and financial performance
- Identify and manage risks and opportunities, ensuring compliance with safety (HSE), quality, and company standards
- Implement QA/QC systems and continuous improvement practices
- Clearly define and control project scope, managing change requests, variations, and scope creep
- Stakeholder & Team Leadership: Lead multidisciplinary teams and provide direction, manage client relationships and stakeholder communication
- Procurement & Contract Management: Manage contracts (NEC/FIDIC) and subcontractors, overseeing procurement processes and supplier performance
- Project Monitoring & Reporting: Track progress against scope, cost, schedule, and quality, providing regular reports to clients and senior management
- Project Closure: Ensure completion, handover, and client acceptance, finalizing documentation, contracts, and financials
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field
- Additional degree (advantageous): Business, Engineering, IT, or Project Management
- Preferred certifications: PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SACPCMP (Pr.CPM)
