Durban: Technical Manager (Biotechnology)

The role provides technical service and support to operations by overseeing and ensuring that process and product quality standards are adhered to. In addition, the position focuses on driving continuous improvement initiatives for products, processes, and infrastructure, to enhance efficiency, quality, and compliance. Required: At least 5 years of process and quality experience within food production environments. Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, Tempo, DMS, Syspro, and Opsuite. Knowledge: Strong understanding of plant processes and quality systems. Ability to make critical decisions regarding process integrity, product release, and the implementation of improvement projects. Communication between the Production Manager and production team for better quality/output and improvements. Maintain open and collaborative communication with Production, Technical, Engineering, Projects, Distribution, and Sales. Provide technical advice and solutions to the Production Manager. Notify BSBU and CBU of potential changes/issues related to raw materials or processes. Facilitate the sourcing and transfer of technical knowledge across the company. Interaction and communication within the companys business units for development of stronger relationships.
