Hotel Reception & Reservationist – Durbanville Requirements: Senior Certificate & Hospitality Qualification. Proven work experience (minimum 2 years) in Hotel environment fulfilling the role of a Hotel Reservationist, Receptionist, Front Desk or similar position. Own vehicle to & from the workplace in Durbanville. Willing to work shifts (06:30 – 14:00 & 14:00 – 23:00) including weekends. Firm understanding of work-related practices within the Hotel & Hospitality industry. Sufficient in Microsoft Office & Hotel Reservation software programs (Semper will be an advantage). Fluent in English with e xcellent verbal & written communication skills. Applicant must be organised, friendly, well-presented & fit to work. Ability to work in team, under pressure in a diverse & fast-paced environment. Duties include (but not limited to): Participate in daily operational activities in the Hospitality department, includes all aspects of hotel & events. Full Reception, Front Desk and Reservations function. Managing reservations via the hospitality booking systems & coordinate with the Hospitality team for preparations. Handling check-ins & check-outs by providing smooth welcome & exit processes to guests. Respond to enquiries, requests & complaints in a professional manner within a fast turnaround time. Liaise with the housekeeping, garden & maintenance teams to ensure that all rooms & surrounding areas are clean, ready & on standard to accommodate guest needs. General administration at the front desk & hospitality department. Assist with monthly hospitality stock taking & reporting. Update & consolidate vouchers for payment purposes. Assistance with updating information on various hospitality websites. Keeping up to date of activities on the Estate. Providing firm support across all other departments on the Estate & to Office of CEO. General administrative & ad-hoc duties as requested by Management.
