Job Summary
- CA(SA) designation – essential.
- Minimum of 6 years’ post-articles experience, including leadership or management experience.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record in business development in various industries.
- Proven ability to design and implement operational and financial improvements.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to grow a service line.
- Ability to set vision, strategy, and direction for the department.
- Proven ability to attract newclients, identify market opportunities, and grow revenue streams.
- Advanced skills in financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- Strong knowledge of financial systems, reporting tools, and operational process optimisation.
- Understanding of diverse business models and ability to translate financial insights into actionable strategies.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to build trust and long-term partnerships.
- Skilled at recruiting, developing, and motivating high-performing teams.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to diagnose complex issues and create tailored solutions.
- Clear and persuasive written and verbal communication, including board-level reporting and presentations.
- Comfortable working across multiple industries and adjusting to varied client needs.
- Experience with ERP, CRM and cloud-based accounting systems (e.g., Xero, Sage, Zoho, etc).
Desired Skils:
- Previous experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or equivalent executive role in multiple organisations.
- Track record of leading finance functions across a variety of industries and business sizes.
- Experience in M&A, business restructuring, or turnaround projects.
- Exposure to fast-growing or scaling businesses and their unique financial challenges.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance, compliance, and risk management.
- Proven success in negotiating with investors, lenders, and key stakeholders.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools for financial and operational decision-making.
- Professional network and industry connections that can be leveraged for business growth.
Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Lead and manage the IGrow Outsourced CFO department.
- Develop and execute strategies to grow the department’s client base and revenue.
- Conduct financial and system gap analyses for clients to identify improvement opportunities.
- Design and implement tailored financial solutions that drive business performance.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and strategic advisory services for multiple clients.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based client relationships.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a growing CFO services team.
- Stay ahead of industry trends to ensure IGrow remains at the forefront of outsourced CFO solutions.
