<p>A large four-star hotel in East London is seeking an experienced Resident Manager to support overall hotel operations. This role is akin to a Deputy General Manager and requires a professional with strong leadership ability, operational knowledge, and financial acumen to assist in driving performance across all departments.</p><p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel in the absence of the General Manager</p></li><li><p>Support departmental heads across rooms division, F&B, housekeeping, maintenance, and sales</p></li><li><p>Assist in budget preparation, revenue forecasting, and cost control initiatives</p></li><li><p>Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining high service standards throughout the property</p></li><li><p>Conduct regular inspections of public areas, rooms, and F&B outlets to ensure quality control</p></li><li><p>Drive employee engagement through training, mentoring, and performance management</p></li><li><p>Analyse operational reports and provide feedback to the General Manager and ownership</p></li><li><p>Handle escalated guest complaints or operational challenges promptly and effectively</p></li><li><p>Assist with recruitment, staff scheduling, and disciplinary procedures</p></li><li><p>Implement health, safety, and hygiene standards across the hotel</p></li><li><p>Support sales initiatives, marketing activities, and promotional events</p></li><li><p>Act as second-in-command, ensuring continuity and leadership presence at all times</p></li></ul><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Minimum 57 years management experience within a four-star hotel environment</p></li><li><p>Previous role as a Rooms Division Manager, F&B Manager, or Assistant GM preferred</p></li><li><p>Strong financial management and reporting skills</p></li><li><p>Proven leadership ability with excellent communication and interpersonal skills</p></li><li><p>Guest-focused with a strong commitment to service excellence</p></li><li><p>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</p></li><li><p>Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities</p></li><li><p>Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and public holidays</p></li></ul><p>To apply, please upload a copy of your updated CV and recent profile photo along with any written or telephonic reference.</p>
