About the Role
The Supply Chain Management (SCM) Officer/ Makhandi role is a critical position within the SA Library for the Blind (SALB), supporting the Project Offices/functions with regards to procurement. As an SCM Officer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the SALB Supplier Database and Central Supplier Database (CSD) reports, ensuring compliance and accurate information.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the SALB Supplier Database and CSD reports to ensure compliance and accurate information.
- Administer procurement processes by recording and processing purchase orders, coordinating RFPs, bids, and tenders, and ensuring adherence to SCM policies and relevant legislation.
- Track outstanding orders, verify invoices, and coordinate with the Finance unit to ensure timely supplier payments.
- Provide financial and administrative support, assisting with budget monitoring, reconciliations, and maintaining organized, audit-ready records.
- Conduct internal compliance checks and respond to audit queries.
Requirements
- National Diploma or higher-level qualification in Supply Chain Management/Procurement Management.
- At least 2 years of office administrative work experience in supply chain management within the Public Sector.
- Good working knowledge of the following Acts and Prescripts: PFMA; National Treasury Regulations; SCM Acts and Prescripts; PPPFMA and related prescripts; BBBEE regulatory prescripts.
Qualifications
- Completed National Diploma or higher-level qualification in Supply Chain Management/Procurement Management.
Salary & Benefits
R345 865,24 CTC Per Annum
