About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stock Manager to join their team in the beverage manufacturing industry in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory management, strong communication and leadership skills, and a passion for the beverage manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Stock Management and Reconciliation: Ensure that system inventory aligns with physical stock, accurately reflect customer accounts, address risks in stock management, and optimize warehouse processes. Manage and control inventory across all distribution channels, supporting regional teams and reconciling deliveries to minimize losses.
- Document Management and Reporting: Monitor daily variances, generate weekly reports, and manage proof of delivery (POD) documentation. Resolve customer queries and manage CHEP account transactions efficiently.
- Compliance and Quality Management: Adhere to stock management practices, ensure compliance with operational standards, and manage audit documentation. Monitor KPIs, implement standardized stock counting procedures, and maintain quality assurance across warehouses.
- Performance Improvement: Oversee daily stock counts, eliminate root causes of issues, and manage performance improvement projects. Track resolutions and prioritize opportunities for performance enhancement using KPIs.
- People and Stakeholder Management: Lead and engage the team to achieve goals, ensure alignment through regular communication, optimize processes, and maintain accountability to the Risk Manager for stock-related issues.
Requirements
A minimum of a B Comm or B. Degree in Logistics, Transport, Business Management or Finance.
Minimum 8 years of operational experience in warehousing and stock control
Minimum 5 years in a management role
Understanding of key business cost drivers
Financial and business modeling experience
Stock management experience
Experience in logistics and business software systems
Experience and understanding of SAP stock management transactions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
