Job Description
- Review and record findings from:
- HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) inspection reports
- First aid box inspections
- Fire safety equipment checks, including fire extinguishers, hose reels, hydrants, and sprinkler systems
- All plant and equipment inspections
- Schedule training sessions and ensure that all appointed personnel remain competent, with up-to-date certifications
- Confirm that only trained and certified staff are appointed to relevant roles
- Maintain and update all administrative systems to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Ensure all service providers’ HSE files are current and include valid insurance documents and competency certifications
- Verify the full complement of cleaning and security staff, and report staffing levels accordingly
- Take minutes during monthly HSE and security meetings
- Monitor ongoing projects and follow up on related systems and actions
- File all records systematically and maintain an accessible filing system
- Perform general administrative tasks, including answering and screening calls and emails on behalf of the manager, as needed
Requirements:
- Matric
- Qualification in HSE will be advantageous
- Min 3-5 years’ experience in HSE
- Code 8 license
