About the Role
Our Client in Papua New Guinea is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Consultant to join their prestigious hospital, Pacific International Hospital (PIH), as part of our Uniglo Recruitment team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent clinical care to pediatric and neonatal patients, leading training sessions for nurses, and contributing to the development of new systems for staff and patient management in a private hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct out-patient paediatric clinics
- Responsible for the care of paediatric and neonatal patients admitted to PIH
- Handle after-hour paediatric and neonatology patients presenting to the Emergency Room and referred for specialist opinion by the Medical Officer
- Attend to newborns at the time of delivery and during hospital stay
- Provide training and help introduce new systems for staff and patient management
- Hold teaching sessions for nurses
- Participate in CME sessions
- Prepare case presentations for teaching purposes
Requirements
- MBBS degree
- Master’s degree in Child Healthcare
- Minimum 5 years of work experience
Qualifications
- Completed MBBS and Master’s in Child Healthcare degrees
