Job Summary

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Financial Accountant with preparation of financial statements. The candidate will also be tasked to assist bookkeepers with monthly processing on QuickBooks and submission of statutory returns, i.e. SARS, CIPC, COIDA, UIF.Requirements:Relevant Diploma/DegreeRelevant experience – 3 to 5 yearsKnowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and Online, SARS eFiling, EasyFile, CIPC, COIDA, uFiling (UIF)Submission of Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, ROE, UIFComplete Fixed Asset Register, VAT Reconciliation, EMP501, Finance Lease AmortizationProcess year-end adjustments/journalsBe able to analyze general ledger accountsKnowledge of CaseWare will be advantageousKnowledge of SimplePay (Payroll) will be advantageousAd hoc – CIDB, CSD registrationsAttributes:Must be able to work under pressureSound communication skills (verbal and writing)Advanced MS Excel and WordAble to meet deadlines and targetsAttention to detailTrustworthyPunctual.
