Head of Engineering and Maintenance Location: Franschhoek Type of Property: Luxury Wine Estate Summary of Key Requirements: Proven experience in a senior engineering or maintenance role within a luxury hospitality or estate environment Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Technical knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC) Ability to work independently, manage a team, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously Proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport Experience managing budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships Ability to develop and implement preventative maintenance plans and schedules Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations Conduct regular inspections and audits, and prepare reports on maintenance activities and operational performance Salary: R55,000 – R75,000 (Negotiable DOE) | Live Out 50% Medical Aid contribution 3% Provident Fund contribution Annual increases and performance-related bonuses Meal allowance of R25 per shift (for salaries below R25,000) Subsidised staff transport available on Franschhoek, Paarl, Stellenbosch, and Wellington routes TO APPLY: Submit your CV, contactable references, and recent head & shoulders photograph ASAP!
