About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Payroll Officer for a luxury hospitality group in the Franschhoek Valley. This role requires strong payroll, compliance, and HR administration skills within a multi-department hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll accurately and on time for hotel and restaurant staff
- Manage staff onboarding, terminations, leave, and benefit deductions
- Maintain payroll records in line with labour legislation
- Ensure correct statutory deductions (UIF, PAYE, SDL, Provident Fund)
- Assist with HR reporting and compliance documentation
- Resolve payroll queries professionally and confidentially
- Support audits and compliance checks
Requirements
- Proven payroll experience in hospitality or service-based environments
- Strong knowledge of South African payroll legislation
- Payroll system experience essential (e.g. PaySpace, VIP, or similar)
- Excellent attention to detail and confidentiality
- Organised, reliable, and deadline driven

Salary & Benefits
Salary: R23,500 – R26,500 DOE. 50% Medical Aid contribution. 3% Provident Fund contribution. Annual increases and performance bonuses. R25 meal allowance per shift (for salaries under R25,000). Subsidised staff transport on Franschhoek, Paarl, Stellenbosch & Wellington routes.
