About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Product Support and Sales Representative to join our team at Komatsu South Africa in New Vaal field service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our customers, ensuring their machines are running efficiently and effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Plans inspection dates, workshops, and nominations of resources on behalf of the customer.
- Collates informative materials, including Komtrax registration forms, warranties, and manuals.
- Conducts delivery inspections of machines and liaises with customers on results.
- Hands over warranties, signs relevant documentation, and registers customers on Komtrax.
- Carries out machine and undercarriage inspections at set frequencies as agreed with the customer.
- Discusses inspection reports with customers, highlighting deviations and their impact.
- Plans and prepares for anticipated service calls in conjunction with stakeholders.
- Oversees warranty repairs that may be required at the site.
- Provides technical advice and liaison with centralised Komatsu functions in Service and Repairs.
- Drives after-market parts sales through effective technical advice.
- Monitors modifications for quality and operational issues.
- Submits machine down notices (MDN) and machine up notices (MUN) as required.
- Arranges/conducts basic technical training with customers and Komatsu Field Servicemen.
- Monitors machine hours in conjunction with component hours.
- Compiles and utilises reports to improve parts and service sales to the customer.
Requirements
- A Millwright trade certificate.
- At least 4 years post-trade experience working with Komatsu shovels, demonstrating strong proficiency in fault diagnosis.
- 2 years of supervisory experience (an advantage).
- Valid Drivers License.
- MS Office (Intermediate).
- SAP (Beginner).
- Computer literate.
Qualifications
A Millwright trade certificate is required for this role.
