About the Role
Our client, a well-established player within the manufacturing and distribution sector, is seeking a dynamic Group Accountant to join their finance team. This opportunity offers exposure to complex group structures, multi-entity reporting, and strategic financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute monthly group consolidations across multiple entities
- Analyse monthly financial results, including income statements and balance sheets
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements across the group
- Prepare and review group financial reports and submissions to stakeholders
- Oversee intercompany transactions and consolidation journals
- Liaise with auditors and manage audit processes and queries
- Drive process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy
- Support tax submissions, statutory reporting, and regulatory returns
Requirements
- Education: CA(SA) non-negotiable
- Experience: Minimum 2 to 4 years post articles experience
- Proven experience in group reporting and consolidations
- Exposure to manufacturing or distribution environments advantageous
- Strong audit foundation (Big 4 exposure highly beneficial)
- Skills: Advanced knowledge of IFRS
