About the Role
The HotelJobs team is seeking an experienced Field Guide to join our Garden Route operations, showcasing their expertise in providing unparalleled guest experiences. We’re looking for someone with a passion for the smaller, often overlooked aspects of nature, including fynbos, birdlife, and marine ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert-led guided tours and walks to guests
- Conduct nature talks and presentations on local flora and fauna
- Develop and lead customized itineraries and activities
- Maintain knowledge of local wildlife, geology, and ecosystem
Requirements
- Minimum CATHSSETA Nature Site Guide (NQF2) / FGASA Nature Guide (NQF2) or higher
- Up-to-date Registration with National Department of Tourism (NDT)
- Valid South African Code 8 drivers license and a valid PrDp (PDP license)
- At least 2 years work experience as a guide
Qualifications
- Completed CATHSSETA Nature Site Guide (NQF2) or FGASA Nature Guide (NQF2) qualification
- National Department of Tourism registration
